College Access and Success Coordinator

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is accepting applications for a

College Access and Success Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications:

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Diploma or Associates Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

Basic Computer Skills

Must possess good multitasking, organization, communication, and planning skills

Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective networks with high schools, colleges, prospective students, faculty, staff, and the general public

Ability to work as part of a team oriented organization

General Duties:

Develop an understanding of high school graduation requirements and TCAT Athens Admission requirements

Assist prospective students’ enrollment needs

Attend recruitment functions of high schools, colleges, community fairs, etc…

Work with area high schools (CTE programs, guidance counselors, teachers, and administrators) for various dual credit and college ready programs

Conduct information sessions on admission requirements for potential students

Career Counseling

Develop an understanding and play an active role in the implementation and success of Tennessee Promise, Tennessee Reconnect, Regional Apprenticeship Preparedness Program (RAPP), and Labor Education Alignment Program (LEAP), as they relate to TCAT Athens and our service area

Develop strategies for the recruitment and success of non-traditional students who wish to join the workforce by way of TCAT Athens


Salary is commensurate with experience, education, qualifications, and Tennessee College of Applied   Technology guidelines.
