Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens and Adult Education District 4 is accepting applications for the following positions:

Full time  Instructor:

Minimum Qualification:  Bachelor Degree in Education or related field; TN Teacher’s license preferred or 1-3 yrs. experience/leadership, Microsoft Office Skills.

General Duties:  Assist in scheduling/monitoring classroom instruction, proctor assessment & state required testing.  Travel required.  Split schedule.

Full/Part Time Paraprofessional:

This position provides a variety of clerical duties in support of the Adult Education program. The position also interacts with and provides instructional, registration, and intake orientation – related services for potential and current students and faculty on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or HSE (High school equivalency) required, Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Strong oral and written communication skills, Evidence of interpersonal/customer service skills, Accepts new tasks and responsibilities in a positive/professional manner, Organizational and analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines, Skill in operation of general office equipment (fax, copier, scanner, multi-line phone system etc.), Assists with scheduling, proctoring, and scoring State-required tests (CASAS,  HiSET OPT)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an adult education environment, Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information internally and externally, Maintain class, staff, and event schedules, Setup and maintain paper and electronic filing systems

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates ability to multi-task

Assist with graduation

Assist with student registration, assessment, orientation/counseling

Performs general office duties; filing, faxing, and disbursement of administrative, and instructional materials

Assist with ordering materials and supplies

Organizes and maintains confidential program and student files as well as report documentation

Maintain office equipment and supply inventories

Prepares and assists with fiscal processes

Maintain technical knowledge by engaging in opportunities to improve or increase skills

Contributes to team efforts

Performs other duties as assigned

Salary:  The salary is commensurate with experience and according to the salary guidelines of TCAT Athens/AE Program.
