Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Oneida/Huntsville is pleased to announce that Jerome Bass of the Computer Information Technology program has been selected as the post-secondary “Student of the Month” for January 2017. While in college Jerome has received the following national IT certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and Microsoft MTA Security Fundamentals. At this time, he is working toward becoming Microsoft MCSA Server 2012/R2 certified. Also, Jerome has has worked with the college doing community service assisting with the Second Harvest Food Distribution at the college and with the Morgan/Scott Project’s Christmas Toy Distribution. He will graduate April 28, 2017 with an IT Systems Coordinator Diploma.
CIT instructor Rodney Stephens states, “Jerome has been extremely determined and persistent throughout his stay in my CIT program. It paid off! He has successfully coved through the most advanced certifications and IT curriculum offed to date. He now has proven to be one the programs most accomplished students.” Jerome comments,”I would highly recommend this course of study to anyone who is interested in computers. This program opens up opportunities for a technological profession such as information technology.”
