Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Oneida/Huntsville’s Computer Information Technology instructor Rodney Stephens is pleased to announce that post-secondary student Joey Ward successfully passed the Microsoft Installation, Storage, and Compute with Windows Server 2016 certification. Candidates for this exam are involved with the installation, storage, and compute functionalities available in Windows Server 2016. Candidates perform general installation tasks, including installing and configuring Nano Server, as well as creating and managing images for deployment. Candidates should have experience with local and server storage solutions including the configuration of disks and volumes, Data Deduplication, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Storage Spaces Direct, and Failover Clustering solutions. The candidates should also be familiar with managing Hyper-V and Containers as well as maintaining and monitoring servers in physical and compute environments.
Exam 70-740 includes such topics as: install Windows Servers in host and compute environments, implement high availability, and maintain and monitor server environments.
CIT Instructor Rodney Stephens states, “I am very proud of Joey. He has been a tremendous student who accomplishes goals and exceeds them. If you’ve kept up with Joey’s past accomplishments, you already know he was the first high school student to pass a major IT certification exam while taking my CIT program in high school. Continuing his IT education at TCAT Huntsville has allowed him to surpass his higher IT standards he often sets for himself. Keep an eye on Joey for your future IT needs. He is for real.”
